“If science, like art, is to perform its mission truly and fully, its achievements must enter not only superficially but with their inner meaning into the consciousness of the people.”
— Albert Einstein, 1939 World’s Fair

I’m a freelance science journalist covering neuroscience, AI, biology and more. In 2020, I was an AAAS Mass Media Fellow at Discover Magazine. My writing has also appeared in Quanta Magazine, WIRED, Astronomy Magazine, Nautilus, Ars Technica,

The Open Notebook, and more. In 2022, I was featured as a guest speaker to discuss my work on WJR Radio Detroit.

Before writing about science, I spent ten years studying the neuroscience of language while at Vanderbilt University for my Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship, and at the University of Michigan for my bachelor’s degree.
